Charlotte Concrete Services builds and repairs the hardest-working concrete on a commercial property: loading docks, leveler pits, truck courts and aprons, equipment and utility pads, and dumpster and compactor pads, for warehouses, retail, restaurants and schools.
Charlotte is a major freight hub, with distribution buildings along I-85, I-77 and I-485 and around Charlotte Douglas cargo and Westinghouse Blvd. Trailers back into docks all day, truck wells flood in summer storms, garbage trucks break asphalt.

A dock edge crumbling under forklift wheels slows every shipment. We build dock walls, aprons and dock-height slabs with steel edge angles, embedded bumper anchors and reinforced floor-to-truck transitions, coordinated with the leveler installer.

Broken asphalt at the dumpster is common behind Charlotte restaurants. We pour thick, reinforced pads reaching where the garbage truck's front wheels land, plus enclosure footings. Compactor pads get thickened slabs and embedded anchors; every pad slopes to drain.

Rutted asphalt at the docks wears trailers. We pour heavy-duty truck courts and aprons jointed for wheel paths and landing gear, often tied into new commercial parking lots and drives.

A ponding dock floods the building. We grade truck wells to trench drains sized on the civil plans and tied to the storm system, and rebuild clogged drains on existing docks with a cleanout.

Generators, chillers and switchgear that settle are expensive to reset. We pour reinforced pads to the engineer's specs, utility pads to Duke Energy's requirements, conduit sleeves and anchor bolts set first.

Spalled dock edges, cracked leveler pits and sinking pads endanger forklifts. We cut out damaged concrete, replace edge angles, rebuild pit walls and pour new sections, often nights or weekends. Sound but worn slabs get an overlay.
We review plans, equipment cut sheets and the site, then bid in writing.
NC 811 locates, then excavation. Soft Piedmont clay is replaced with compacted stone.
Forms, steel, edge angles, anchor bolts and conduit sleeves set and inspected.
Heavy-duty mixes, finished for traction, cured to spec. Trucks return at the engineer's strength; see how long before driving on new concrete.
From plans and a site visit, since thickness and embeds vary.
Thick enough for a loaded garbage truck's front axle, far more than a car slab.
Yes. We phase dock by dock, pour nights or weekends and schedule door closures.
Usually a clogged, undersized or badly sloped drain.
Yes. We follow Duke Energy's pad specs and their crew schedule.
Yes. Our commercial slabs and floors work covers the warehouse floor.
